On the 31st of November, members of the Parliament’s Outreach Education Service came to Queen Anne to run a programme of sessions with the Higher Politics class; they also ran the programme at Dunfermline High School. This was to celebrate Parliament Day, give the students a chance to learn about and express their opinions on the Education Scotland Bill. In addition, pupils were asked, and then made to share, their ideas of our own school – what we thought was good, OK, and not so good with the way the school is run. After this discussion, the Politics class was asked to construct a video in the style of Bob Dylan’s ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues’ using their thoughts on Queen Anne. If the video clips are successful, then they will be showcased in Scottish Parliament for guests and MSPs to view.
