The S2’s are learning more about themselves and their bodies with the help of Mr White and Mrs Douglas. The S2’s are learning vital life skills to check if they are fit and healthy.
We spoke to Anna who said “some of the stations are really fun, some of them are not as interactive but they are really important and I’m learning things that will be important for later life. I also think I’m learning new things about myself.”
The pupils in this activity spend 2 periods switching between the different stations including BMI, height and weight, blood oxygen levels and pulse, breath rate, how much oxygen you could get in your lungs, reaction time, body fat, muscle and water content, blood pressure and pulse rate.
When we went in the students were hard at work and from the students we spoke to they were all having lots of fun. Not much had changed
when we left either!
All students loved the activity and were enjoying learning vital life skills!
