With the help of Mr Simpson, the S2’s in art got to learn the basics of photography and Photoshop. When we were there the students were learning about the crop tool, light intensity, gray scale, contrast and highlights.
The picture that was chosen was a landscape that the pupils were free to explore and have fun with. They cropped and edited the landscape using Adobe Photoshop.
We asked one of the participants what they thought of the activity and they said “This really opened our eyes to world of photography and I might use the skills I developed and go out with my camera and take some photos!”
All the students are enjoying the challenge and are having fun learning new photography skills. All hard at work we left them to enjoy their new skills and we can’t wait to see the finished results.
