When we arrived at the games hall there was a gymnastic competition just beginning. On the left-hand side there was a practice area and on the right, there was a competition area.
It was a lot of fun and everyone seemed to be brimming with excitement.
When asked, a fellow pupil said: “The S1 Cluster Olympics is an important part of the curriculum and it is very enjoyable!”
There were lots of cartwheels, flips, bridges and many other exciting stunts. There were lots of countries taking part in this activity including Argentina, Spain, Brazil, Hungary, and Australia.
By the time the competition came to an end, everyone left the hall full of giggles and red cheeks, their eyes glowing with hopes of winning a medal in the next competition they would attend. Many people that left the games hall that day said that they had really enjoyed their time at the gymnastics competition, and were thinking of joining the school’s gymnastics team when they move up into S1. Katie Fisher, one of the 3rd year pupils who helped out for the day and was interviewing people at the gymnastics competition, stated that ‘Everyone did an amazing job at the competition, and I really enjoyed watching everyone get involved and have fun!’
