The Queen Anne Cluster Olympics began today with the Baton Relay. A group of nine pupils, accompanied by a police escort set off from Queen Anne to visit all the cluster schools in Dunfermline. Pupils from Queen Anne cheered as the runners set off carrying an exact replica of the real baton made in CDT. Most of the runners ran a leg of the journey, from one school to the next but three of the runners, (Ben Knowles, Ben Hastie and Sandy McKinnen) went above and beyond and ran the whole route, around 24 miles. A brilliant achievement for all three of them.
On the way back the runners were accompanied by pupils from Pittencrieff and the police on their bikes. Overall the event was a great accomplishment for all of those involved.
