Phraseology
Longevity, I don’t care,
Extremities everywhere.
Self-aggrandising,
Surprising.
Big words explain small things,
How can simplicity bring?
Time that breaks in millions of places,
Hours that pass a billion faces.
Taking time to spell it out,
Hurting ears, hard to shout.
Small words explain big things,
How can complexity bring.
In due time I’ll put up a fight,
But I’ll make sense just now, alright?
Phraseology skips a generation,
Abbreviations sweep the nation.
Soon we shan’t spell, we will act out words,
Whether it the cheerleaders, jocks or nerds.
No more calligraphy or beauteous phrases.
Simply people stuck in emoticon dazes.
